Easter holidaysWith Spring and Easter just around the corner it finally feels like the time to book  our first UK holiday of the year, but what should be do?

As we want to save a lot of holiday fund for the summer, we are planning to head away in a holiday lodge or log cabin. Perfect for families of all ages and sizes, a lodge offers comfortable accommodation with the countryside right outside your window/door.

Going Away this Easter – Don’t forget to….

If you are lucky enough to be going away on a short break or holiday this Easter then there is not long to go.  To help you relax whilst away we’ve compiled a small checklist of things you might want to do before you go:

  • Cancel your milk and papers
  • Check the best before date on items in the fridge
  • Check the oil and tyre pressure on your car
  • Leave your contact details with a neighbour
  • Make sure you have directions to your holiday cottage, apartment or lodge
  • Turn off lights, unplug appliances and turn down/off the heating
  • Empty all of your rubbish bins
  • Arrange for any plants or gardens to be cared for

And, of course, have a fantastic time!

Now that it has been confirmed that there is not going to be any strikes in the UK that will impact petrol deliveries this Easter, it’s safe to book up an Easter break or holiday!

Well the sun may be out and the temperatures soaring about that hasn’t stopped the weather forecasters predicting that the Easter holidays will be COLD and could include SNOW!  It is certainly hard to believe in this warm spell but with just days to go before the Easter holidays the forecasts are not looking good.
