Sussex Welcomes the Olympic Torch Relay

For us based in Sussex it seems like a very long time since the Olympic Torch Relay started its journey and we have been waiting patiently for our turn to welcome it to the sunny South Coast. But today’s the day!

Sadly on its first day in Sussex it has been met with a fair amount of grey skies and drizzle (OK, rain in a few places), not the sunshine for which we are known, but that certainly isn’t going to dampen the party.

The Torch arrived in West Sussex and has been slowly working its way across the county passing through Chichester, Arundel, Worthing and Lancing before heading to East Sussex and it’s overnight stop in Brighton and Hove.  The Torch continues its journey tomorrow from Brighton as it heads towards London and the beginning of the Games.

We are excited to go and see it and are hoping that we can get some good pictures (and maybe Photoshop some blue skies)!  If you are going then send some pictures for our Facebook page
