Self Catering Cottages with Tennis Courts, Tennis Breaks in UK and Ireland

With the grass court tennis season in full swing, and Wimbledon just weeks away, the British will  fall in love with tennis all over again and remember what fun it is.

In fact, you can guarantee that over the coming weeks tennis courts across the country will be filling up with people of all ages practicing their smashes and drop shots!

Visit a Great British Garden

The weather might not be too wonderful at the second but as they say ‘duck and gardeners will be happy with all this rain’.  Well the gardeners gain could well be ours in a few weeks time as many of the wonderful British gardens are in full bloom and open to the public for the summer.

Britain and Ireland are lucky to have a very diverse selection of gardens, with country, city and coastal locations enabling a tremendous variety of planting. So whether you are interesting in seeing some glorious colour flower beds or more interested in well planted grasses, ferns and shrubs you are sure to find a garden for you.

A Great Family Day Out at County Shows, County Fairs and Agricultural Shows

If you are looking for something to do this summer with the family then why not go to one of the many County Shows, County Fairs and Agricultural Shows across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

There is no better way to learn about the British and Irish countryside and the rural way of life.  A typical Show includes prize-winning live stock, pet shows, dog shows and every imaginable type of competition ranging from fruit and veg to arts and crafts.  Every County Show, County Fair or Agricultural Show will have its own unique flavour determined by the countryside in which it is set.

You will find plenty to entertain you whether it’s roaming around the Show’s competition marquees, beer tents, parade and show rings or simply chilling out watching the World go by.  Some of the bigger shows have star attractions so it is well worth checking out what’s happening where so you don’t miss anything.

Cosy Cottages for an Easter Cold Snap

Well the sun may be out and the temperatures soaring about that hasn’t stopped the weather forecasters predicting that the Easter holidays will be COLD and could include SNOW!  It is certainly hard to believe in this warm spell but with just days to go before the Easter holidays the forecasts are not looking good.
